GS Henley Charity Ride – Thank You!

28 Mar by Paul Hartland

A huge thank you to everyone who turned out today for our GS Henley charity ride in support of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout and so much good spirit out on the road.

The 40km loop set off from the Rugby Club, with a very welcome cake stop halfway. The weather stayed firmly on our side, making it a perfect morning to ride together for a great cause.

We’re delighted to report that £650 was raised on the day through entry fees and generous contributions to the raffle, in addition to any advance donations already made.

A special thank you goes to Emma Lister, not only for getting the event off the ground and securing such high‑quality raffle prizes, but for also convincing her lovely friends to get on their bikes and come along and give the ride a try! Thanks also to all the club members who helped with organisation — selling tickets, keeping everything running smoothly, and ensuring a plentiful supply of excellent cakes.

And finally, thank you to all our wonderful riders for taking part and contributing so generously. Days like this show what a strong and supportive community GS Henley really is.

If anyone who couldn’t make it — or who still wishes to contribute — would like to support the fundraising, donations can be made via Emma’s page:
