We have (or soon will be) making some access changes to a few of the tools we use to stay in touch as a club.

Strava:
As of today the club’s Strava page is now a reflection of current club members. If you’re not already part of it and you want to be (which if you want to be part of the secret sector competition each week you will), just search ‘GS Henley’ under groups>clubs from inside the app.

TeamApp:
Access – As of a few weeks ago, some may have notice access to events (for ride routes) and club chat became restricted. This is because we locked access down to current members (including members in April ‘22 > March ’23). Very shortly this will also apply to members not renewed for the ’23/’24 membership year (nudge, nudge).

New Feature – As of today, you should now be able to create private chats with other members in the app, although please continue to use the club-wide chats if you’re going out riding and want company.

Notifications & Etiquette – Please enable notifications in the general app. We get countless comments that people didn’t see news about something (like new kit orders) and if you’ve not got app notifications on, and/or you’ve unsubscribed from team-app emails, how are we going to contact you? If you find the chat message notifications too much, you can mute/disable notifications for individual chats from within that chat. We also ask everyone to only post to the most relevant chat group and not duplicate messages to several groups (to avoid notifications where they’re not wanted).

User cleanup – We’ll shorty be doing a cleanup of TeamApp accounts that aren’t (and never have been) linked to an active membership. If this applies to you for some reason you’ll just need to search for GS Henley and join again. At some point we’ll probably purge accounts that haven’t been renewed for a few years too.

Membership Renewals:
Reminder – In light of the above consider this a final warning to renew your membership if you haven’t already and you want to still be part of the club and have access. With the great news Blackett shared at the AGM regarding Fulgaz access coming soon for club members (more on that in the future…) there’s more reasons than ever to sign up!
